Sorcha Chow likes to call herself a “Midwest Princess,” but the story actually starts in London, England, where she arrived ten days late and ten pounds heavy — making a stand-out entrance from day one. As the oldest of nine, a transplant to Illinois at age six, and the kid who sang show tunes for her middle school math class, Sorcha has always had a flair for the dramatic (for better or worse), so pursuing the arts was inevitable.
From a young age, she studied guitar, piano, and cello, sang in choir, and took the Chicago bus an hour each way to train in improv and sketch writing at The Second City. Her love for storytelling led her to write for her high school newspaper and create pop culture commentary online. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a major in Media and Digital Cultures and minors in Women’s Studies and Film Studies.
Sorcha began acting professionally at 21 after being nominated for a school performance award and getting her start as a background actor. With no car and no concrete plan, she moved to Los Angeles to build a career in the arts. Her training includes Advanced Commercial Technique with Jonathan Runyon at The Commercial Class and ongoing study at John Rosenfeld Studios. Her first LA role was Lisa in the short film MoneyShot, and she is currently signed with AC Talent for commercial representation and MGMT Artists for theatrical management.
In August 2025, Sorcha released her first single, “Don’t Worry Darling,” and her debut album Too Hot for Ontario is set to drop in early 2026. She regularly performs her music at open mics across Los Angeles. Beyond acting and music, Sorcha works in advertising, content creation, and writing — and is an avid marathon runner with a PR of 3:37.
